One of our original ideas was to create a very clean, clinical look. It would be eerie and creepy because of scale and emptiness. There would be subtle movements in the environment that would enhance the eerie atmosphere.
We thought about messing with scale alot. By making the ceilings higher. The ditence between the floors, walkways and celling greater. To create a sense of 'grandness' making the player quite insignificant in relation to the scale of the environment.
After spending a night thinking it over, then getting back together, we decided not to go this way. The concept seemed interesting. But it could end up being boring and dull. It would test all of our abilities as the environment would be so plain. It might be good, but there is a high risk of it failing. We will bring what we liked of the old idea forward and not just abandon it completely.
But, we have something new an exciting up our sleeves! hopefully we will have some interesting concepts up over the weekend.
